Anyone That Had a Heart

Anyone who had a heart Would feel the pain that I feel, Every time I see the bodies of children Laying on the streets of bombed out buildings, Anyone who had a heart would like me be feeling That this can't continue and this must definitely end. Anyone who had a heart would understand that, To tear families apart by taking people's children, Is not acceptable, not even if you are the government, Putting these kids in to detention Is just a crime that deserves severe punishment, By anyone who truly has a heart, So look to yourself and don't be afraid to ask Do I have a heart?

My friend, you have penned a powerful piece that provocatively questions the collective heart of our global society about the atrocities committed against children. How can we say we have a heart and yet we continue to allow innocent children to suffer? Excellent write! Hugs. Pandita
