Anybody Want To Buy a Heart

Anybody want to buy a heart? Mine isn't being used
I repaired it after it got broke but then it got removed
I've made myself numb so I've got nothing to lose
Anybody want to buy a heart? Mine isn't being used

I've sacrificed feeling happy as long as I can't get hurt
I'm cool with being numb, it's become my default setting
Now I'm at a stage where I'm already over the one I'm forgetting
My darkest pictures are always my best work

There isn't a girl in this world I'd want to give it to
I don't need it for whatever I end up living through
My feelings are turned off and my emotions are shut
There isn't a key in the world that could open me up

I got hurt too many times to want to feel that again
We all go through struggles and there isn't a wrong way to deal with them
I took my heart out my chest and I won't use it again in my life
I've made myself numb to happiness, sadness and that's alright

I won't give love another chance I'd rather be alone
Had to be my own Dad as my father was gone
He wasn't even there for me before he died
Been a man since I was 14, so I've removed the heart from my insides

Akkina Downing June 12, 2017 at 9:05 PM No kiddo, you need to love to feel love. Yes love hurts when it's not being loved back but to let anger and sadness fill your heart, is a big NO. It's why people aren't happy and they're miserable because they thought that once heartbroken means its over and done with love. No! That's not it. Love is the reason we are breathing. So keep your heart within you and let it sip on some sunshine of love. The more you love the happier you'll be :) Alex Duffy June 13, 2017 at 5:14 AM I will try my best to open my heart, but its so guarded now it'll take a lot. You can't feel happiness without sadness, or sadness without happiness. I think most people become scared of love and feelings after a while
