Anxiety Edvard Munch
Anxiety
Painting by Edvard Munch
With each stroke
an Artist of Anxiety
portrays his own demons through daring colors of orange fire and blood dripping fear
Perched at the front
a line of staring eyes
rest upon her back
as she slithers lower
awaiting the attack...
He paints this girl of bonnet and bows her hands clutched on her own neck
(Perhaps a suicidal strangle hold)
As she wanders endless hallways within her
mind subdued of her own demons Edvard falls at her side

Anxiety” by Edvard Munch. The painting is known to be a reflection of Munch's mental state at the time. Painting was Munch's way of expressing himself, and he found it to be very therapeutic. He suffered greatly from anxiety and depression, which were also the factors behind his decision to paint The Scream.
