Anxiety and Me

Anxiety hits and i get worried, My body freezes but my mind gets hurried. Nerves race through me they got me tight, Nothing could have prepared me for this fight. Imagine a panic attack, and fighting to breathe, The biggest fight of your life but you cant leave. An internal battle, a raging war, Desperate to know what your fighting for. When going out hurts you, but staying in hurts more, Imagine being afraid of your own front door. You build up these walls to keep you safe, Then the walls become your prison and the chains just chafe. It doesn’t matter how you run from it and try to hide, Anxiety will always find a way inside. How can you run from something that wants you dead, when the demon lies dormant in the back of your head.
