I gnore the ones who try to get you down G ive up the need to try to prove your worth N o one will care if in their hate you drown O r if they do succeed to steal your mirth R emember that to Him you are so dear A doring is your Father up above N o anger can reside when He is near C reator God, He'll fill your heart with love E eternal is the bliss He can provide I know that man cannot perfection gain S o be oblivious, in friends confide B e quick to ask for help to carry pain L et laughter bloom in spite of jealous wrath I t can bring healing from the bitter sting S surrender all to Him, He'll guide your path S weet ignorance of hate true love will bring Eileen Manassian

People who bully have no self worth so try to bring you down to their level of pain. Nothing you will say or do will make them realize that they are the ones who need help and you need to know that they will never realize their own unworth If they can take you down it makes them feel worthwhile even though they have not established any worth. Keep on doing and being who you are and they will finally realize their errors. As long as you know that you are a wonderful human they lose.

Hello Eileen, the choice to not retaliate is a wise one. There are so many here that adore you that it is no purpose to be concerned about a few that have yet to come to know your heart. As humans we have what is called a negativity bias we could have a hundred people say something nice and it would be one negative comment that we would remember. (To be continued)

Richard....had it not been for you and your support....I don't know how strong I could remain. Your Mom also keeps me grounded with her lovely emails. You're right, of course. There are many more who love me than those who don't. I need to let go because I've come to realize that some things will never change. Thanks for the care and wisdom. Hugs

To overcome this bias it takes intentional thought on the positive things in our lives so that those memories become the dominant realization thus limiting the power of the less pleasant experiences. Hugs Rick.

Very good acrostic Eileen, full of meaning! I also appreciate the rhyme and flow, a very hard thing to do in an acrostic. People do disappoint us with their jealousy, but wise words here. Fear God not man. His opinion is the one that really matters. You might like my poem old man boy and donkey, showing futility of trying to please popular opinion. You should enter my paradise acrostic contest, you would do well no doubt! Beautiful words and meaning!

Let me know....I saw a reference to me in a blog that was taken down...a play on my name...which was done before on another blog....didn't quite like it, but....like I said....Ignore! Can't change people's opinions and I have those who love me, so...it's ok. :) Hugs

Nicely expressed, Eileen. I choose to ignore those who are jealous and pumped up with pride...those who think they get the last laugh, when I'm the one laughing at them. I turn my head, not the other cheek. It's only God's favor I seek.

People's opinions have always mattered way too much to me, Lin. I've discovered, if someone wants to dislike you, there's pretty much nothing you can do about it. Trying to prove otherwise....is futile. Best thing to do is ignore. I haven't been too successful in this....but I'm going to redouble my efforts. When the high priest's servant slapped Jesus for no reason at all...Jesus did ask, "Why have you slapped me?" He wanted them to know that what they were doing was uncalled for. Ignorance can be bliss... Take care...and thanks for the post.
