Another Year Is Coming
Another year is coming to rapid conclusion
And I can say I am most happy to see it go
For 2021 was a difficult year for everyone
With the pandemic losses so sad, you know.
I won’t miss the divisive political in-fighting
Nor will I care to remember much in the news
When I think about the differences I made
Truth is, not many people listened to my views.
On the other hand, I made some exciting trips
Adding the last state (S.D.) I had not seen
And, then, I spent some weeks in the tropics
Getting away for a week for a change of scene.
I got my vaccines, a booster, and a flu shot,
And when I count my blessings, so many I got!
