Another Mission

For us, it has become an everyday scene. The only world we know now is our B-17. Over Adolf’s territory, we drop our bombs away. We have been flying missions both night and day. We want to cripple the Axis with each bomb we drop. That bad boy’s actions are what we are trying to stop. So what is the target today, Bremen or Stuttgart? We want to lunge a dagger right into the Nazi’s heart. I heard Axis Sally last night on the radio. What is our next target? I think they already know. Well, with today’s mission, it is one strike more. With more success, we can bring an end to this war.

Great historical piece Robert.. u are so learned my friend.. and surely Iran poses our biggest threat.. maybe a bomb or two close to them would make them back off some.. and leave our peaceful country be... those 'haters' just don't get it luv..

I'm assuming "Axis Sally" is your next target. Eliminating communication broadcasts is a good way to cripple the Nazi regime. You described this event so vividly that I felt like I were with you in the B-17 that you have come to know as your "world," Robert. You know historical writes always appeal to me and this one speaks of a period in time that I find intriguing as well as deplorable. Well done, my friend! Love, Carolyn
