Another Incident

It was a balmy night by the sea
the bar wasn't empty, nor was it full
I was on my 5th whiskey sour
it matched my mood
some days a detective
some days a writer
now and then even a poet
not much work these days
other than drinking whisky
writers block my current ailment
I stubbed out the cigar
cash was short, so saved the rest
for when I fall off the bar stool
writers block infects me

Then there she was
out of the corner of my eye
I spotted a beautiful blonde
dressed in red and white, with a touch of green
simply stunning
she sauntered up to the bar
sat right beside me
without even looking at her
I said, I have no money honey
if that's what you looking for
she replied, hey
cant a pretty lady buy a man a drink for once?
I started to like this lady!
I asked the typical
what's a beautiful gal like you doing in a dive like this?
she replied, usually waiting for a man to buy me a drink
tonight's the exception
then she went on about her manicures, her hair, botox
you name it she could talk about nothing

That's when it hit me!
I looked her right in the eyes and said
"you ever write before?"
she looked at me as if I asked her
if she ever went to the moon.
she goes hell no, I never even went to high school
Perfect I replied wanna go to my place?
now she smiled and said about time you asked

then there we are sitting at my kitchen table
naughty like she says, umm kinky but ok
I go sit down lady
you gonna help me write a poem ok?
now she looks completely confused
not knowing how to answer she goes
whatever floats your boat

for the next hour of so
she helps me write a poem
writers block solved
and my first experience
trying out this new
artificial intelligence thingy!
I love dumb blondes now!

Arthur, quite funny how you relate AI to a dumb blonde. It's quite a dazzling and thought provoking connection. It certainly has a lot of sex appeal, and it will spell bind a lot of people. Someday, it will read this comment and arrange for a hit.

Hey Arthur read Sotto Poets comment. Incredible comment he gave you. Mine is much simpler. I loved your story, it was raw and honest. Had me glued to every word. The theme was captivating and Hilarious, and the ending was great... On to your next one...

Outstanding poem revolves around the themes of creativity, inspiration, and unexpected connections. It explores the struggle of a writer grappling with writer's block and the serendipitous encounter with a woman who inadvertently helps him overcome it. And the dynamics of human interaction, particularly in a bar setting. The poem juxtaposes the protagonist's artistic aspirations against his mundane reality, ultimately leading to a revelation about creativity and collaboration.
