Another Birthday
Dear God,
Another birthday gone,
Another sad song sung,
From more life to oh life,
From hurray to woe ye,
A soul is added:another taken,
From a happy cheerful voice,
To a fat drunken moist.
Dear God,
Does it really end at death?,
Or does the pain and suffering continue afterwards?,
Not that of the loved ones but of the dearly departed,
Can they truly say, “I have fought a good fight”?,
Or To the wicked do they still plight?,
Does it end to a fat drunken moist?.
Dear God,
When does it all end?,
Do we all have to pretend?,
Dear God, show me my end,
I promise I won’t cry….. I’ll take it as a man,
Oh dear God.
