Anniversary Song
Tiny buds of green
bursting open in the spring
will drink up the golden sun ~
Each dawn when we wake
I feel your arms around me
and know the same warm embrace
Even the seasons
have contrived to turn the page
without an apology ~
Falling from a tree
with just a small whispered breath
are all the years behind us
