Angry Teacher

Math teacher’s anger fills the room. She is frustrated with one student. Her raised angry voice is scaring many. A lose-lose situation. Is she aware? I watch silently. Hostile voice. Many students cringe. Thinking she means them also. More loss. Loss of respect. Loss of trust.

Somehow I do not think she realizes what she is doing. If she does, she shouldn't be in the classroom. How do you go about enlightening her, changing her, educating her...so she can do all of those things with her students?

I cannot change a teacher. Eliminating tenure would be a great start.

Hello Caren, yes Caren, I had a teacher like that. it was hard to learn. So i do agree with this poem. Hugs.

I wish teachers understood that when they raise an angry voice about fifty percent of their students are too upset to learn anything for the next hour or so.
