Angels
Sun went down, darkness fell through canopy
Lost in forest maze I ran mad in fear
A bright light flashed, I followed to safety
I knew in need an angel would appear.
Monsoon brought heavy rains, river ran swift
My boat capsized, I could hold nothing near
Drowning I felt a hand give me a lift
I knew in need an angel would appear.
In trying times I had lost a dear one
My heart broke, lasting pain I couldn’t bear
You brought soothing hope, let my life go on
I knew in need an angel would appear.
I would never know where the angels live
In different forms their help we receive.
