And the Winner Is
Who pays for a meal can be tricky,
Fast drawing your wallet mistake,
But perhaps you don't like to seem picky,
Want credit for choosing the steak.
Sometimes just a bottle of wine makes a splash
Not a chance that the meal will be winner,
Though pricey your pick wins the sixty-yard dash
Genius strikes, you’re not linked to the dinner.
To offer to pay for girl’s taxi ride home,
Makes impression that seems less a come-on,
Implies that perhaps you’re less likely to roam,
You won’t care side of bed you don’t sleep on
The best rule is not to be rigid
It helps to let go of intent
For the warmer the fun, the less frigid,
And less you will need to invent.
