Anchor

I told him I’m a pebble, A grain of sand lost on the shore. He said, “No, you’re every wave Of the seas I kneel before.” I told him I’m a feather, Floating away on a breeze. He said, “No, you’re every bird Taking on the skies with ease.” I told him I’m a drop of rain, Making my way down to him. He said, “No, you’re every storm That I fight to sink or swim.” I told him I’m a tiny star In a nameless constellation. He said, “No, you’re my whole sky, Horizons painted with perfection.”
