Ancestoral Roots

Ancestoral Roots I am a Taxi Driver in Liverpool And the first thing people say When they get in the cab with me Is Your not a Scoucer Are you Well I was born in Liverpool And i live in Liverpool So why am I not a Scourer It seems an accent defines What it means to be Scouse Born in Liverpool Grew up in South Africa Moved back and went to school in Cambridge Not English enough to English But not South African enough to be South African What am I then Or does it matter Or is being different just my lot
