Anatomy of Pain
Arrow hits, flesh is hurt, feels the brain
That conveys feelings of rising pain.
Revenge, rage when follow,
It hurts more, one more blow,
Who suffers more from a bad bargain?
Time soothes, hurt seldom revert again,
If nurtured, the pain would never drain,
Flesh knows to forget soon,
To forgive— heaven’s boon,
Mankind needs to seed right clouds to rain.
