Anacreontic Verse
Slithering Warmth
Farewells and goodbyes
leash the heart
seal the lips
percolate the
emotions
to let brine
drip slowly from
swollen eyes
Long lasting
relationships
distance from
the eyes' purview
The warmth of
the hugs and kisses
silently vanish
slithering away
without control
Captured moments
remain in the mind's
camera of what
was and could have been
if some force
had intervened
to stop the hour
