An Owls Goodbye
There sits on a perch
An Owl so proud
In a forested area
With it's Tallahassee crowd
There will be a sad day
Drawing so near
Flapping his wings goodbye
As his eyes gently tear
His buddy and pal
Is moving away
To Ormond Beach
To where she will stay
Close to the ocean
Of which she adores
On the land of her father
And the golden rich shores
In the heat of the day
On evenings so cool
Swimming and sunbathing
Beside her Atlantic pool
On the sands she will stroll
In the Florida sun
This journey she's made
A new era's begun
All the time you were here
As i flew in our sky
You always looked out for me
This is an Owls Goodbye
