An Old Friend

Two elementary school friends came to visit. One wanted to talk politics. To try and win us over, to her side. It made the other friend uncomfortable, and it irritated me. We told her about a thousand and two times we did not want to talk politics. She not only wanted to talk about her terrific candidate, but wanted to bully us into voting for him. Oops. I did not give anything away there, I hope. She was completely close-minded about a variety of things. Wait. I take that back. She was close-minded about a lot of things. And she wanted to stereotype types of people. Which does not go well with the other friend and I, who were not trying to bully anybody. I warn you now, good citizens, Beware of childhood friends. In fifty years they may have changed. She used to be rather delightful And kind.
