once daisies woven into my hair
underscored my optimism about the future
now they lend the only colour to a greying landscape
entwined into my hair
they reflect my enduring playful nature
but it beats pushing up the daisies
picking the first daisy of Spring
‘He loves me, he loves me not.’
if you are always right
you will never have any friends
I’ve an insatiable quest for knowledge
and share it willingly – even with the unwilling
walking barefoot through the daisies
turning over some stones
to discover what they are hiding
beneath their austere exterior
encouraging creativity in others
as a gentle nudge is often all it takes
