An Incomplete Love Story

Imperfection in our connection, we yearned for a resurrection- The direction of our affection was lost in moments of objection. We lacked in marital bliss, felt the cross-roads of loss lingering into o b l i v i o n. Forever gaping on lonely memories, I severed ties with the one man who loved me so- Seeking only redemption through forgiveness, he never bestowed a t o n e m e n t, and now I am perpetually recognized as the one who... emptied the h o u r g l a s s. Sandbags were stacked against the river of our frustration, never knowing the outcome of last night’s h a r d s h i p. The dam shattered into pieces of remorseful words and now I fear the worst has come to l i g h t. Our INCOMPLETE LOVE STORY prevailed- Our sorrows became the endless tale our children would tell to generations of family h i c c u p s. For I am but a woman who knew not the sadness I would face- a forsaken wife yearning for... complete compassionate a b s o l u t i o n. An Incomplete Love Story Faraz Ajmal July 13, 2018

Oh this touched my heart. Congratulations on your win. The hourglass and sandbags reference, the dam, all creative and clever. Enjoyed.
