An Elevator Ride of Love

Elevator rides have a special significance Four floors only but oh what a ride T'was like a sweet journey to paradise That's been locked up inside Hurried moments till we reached our floor Added to the thrill of each kiss Always left with wanting more, more, more Those stolen moments of bliss Lived for thirty years deep in my memory Trumpets of love were a-sounding An unmatched feeling of wanting so strong Can still feel my heart a-pounding We must have been two of the luckiest souls Fit together like a hand in glove Twas the first thing on my mind every morning This elevator ride of love We wondered how many if any we fooled None, not a single damn soul We sure didn't care in our own loving world Our story, the greatest ever told

I used to like a snog in an elevator, it had an air of danger and foundoutability (new word). Nice write, Jack. Regards, Viv
