An Awesome Performance

A lithe performer with Cirque d’Soliel First much oiled herself with Oil of Olay, Then practiced her intense high wire plie While clad only in a grand floral lei. Her act was a graceful mid-air ballet After, she rode off in a silver sleigh Driven by a group of leprechaun fey Audiences shouted a Spanish ole, Overall, an awesome performance, eh?

Whimsical fun from a fertile imagination Milt. Wonderful rhymes. Monorhyme is difficult to pull off and you did a wonderful job of spreading some joy! Thanks for sharing this bit of whimsy to brighten the day! BTW, thank you for the info on royalties from Amazon. I have a book listed there, Maddy Courage and Heart. Will send out a reminder to my database.

Milt, many thanks for your suggestion! I didn't realize that royalties were available through Kindle downloads. Will get that message posted in a blog this week. I so appreciate your support. It is a precious gift. Hope you are doing well as winter approaches. I know you are a summer soul!

Do Soupers know about your book on Amazon? You should probably do a Blog with the information. My royalties jumped when I did that. Even if they don't buy the book, some read it on Kindle and you get royalties. I get a direct deposit about every month, and I admit I don't do much to promote my books.

Your humor makes this ditty even more appealing. I like the challenge of this new form; your entry shines as a model example, L. Milton.

Thanks, Jeff. I found this contest to be exceptionally challenging. This was my second attempt, but I think it works. It makes sense, tells a story, and it's end rhymes seem to fit the bill.

Very well written, Milt. Your variance of the rhyming words is excellent, as is your subject matter.
