I wandered among the ancient stones, Remembering generations of ancestors Laid to their eternal rest in this field Their bodies returned to dust, their spirits Soaring hither and yon for eons of infinity In a never-ending, ethereal paradise From whence no return to this temporality As far as we know has ever taken place. written June 4, 2021

Indeed it is, G.W. Always this time of the year I have thoughts like this. I think they have their roots in Memorial Day visits to cemeteries.
