Among Lilies

Among lilies of restful souls Innocence restored after death A harp of sweetness weeps and rolls Drowning in tears last precious breath Soil sprinkled on and forced away, Essence storms within; blankness turns Silent grief, dusky gloom does stay Frail sound saddens a flame that burns Consecrate loam waiting to heal Sweet winsome scent croon through spring Before frost of negligence steal A handful of lilies, bells ring Death stolen, bewitch afternoon Ceaseless promises were from time As day dawned, haste away too soon None listens to mournful hushed chime

grief is difficult and for me, it's even more so with the holidays. I feel your lost and anguish. This poem, however, is beautiful and made me teary-eyed. Sending you e-hugs, Sara

"Drowning in tears last precious breath." Life is precious, indeed. Your thoughts curl around my heart. This is beautiful, yet sad, all at the same time. Many wonderful blessings to you, my dear friend. Hugs, Brandy

a deep, poignant, and a tad sad. Your messages are powerful, especially those in the last first...none listens to mournful hushed crime. Among lilies is the perfect title, by the way. Well done, Ms. Eve! hugs, Sara
