Amidst the Panic At the Food Bank
People be hurting, their hungry
Some not working
Since 2020 of February
Standing in these modern times
New generational soup/hungry lines
People gathering
Trying just to get them something
Food on their mind
Look at
Them there dented cans here
Are the same one’s that’s been there?
In the corner on the shelf
People keep putting back
So much sodium in them can beans
Don’t need no seasoning
Well, well
They’re running (ran) out of bread and milk
There ain’t no more potatoes
And the peanut butter got to much oil in it
No more butter and cheese
People fighting for potatoes
Ooh wee!
People post pandemic
Such a panic at the food bank
Been rushing to the Food Bank
Had to put on my think-thank
Cause there ain’t hardly nothing left
Cepting them spider webs
This is one of the reason there panic at the food bank
Ain’t got no toilet paper
No grapes, apples
NO celery
NO more pinto beans
Run out of vegetables
Ain’t got no more sugar
People rushin and cussin
O’ Lord there’s so much yellN-ScreamN and hollering
Help us all Lord we should give thanks (to what is left, what we got)
Help us all cause there is panic at the Food Bank
We should give thanks, for what’s left, cause we few(all) are bless
We give thanks
For what we got
Amidst the Panic at the Food bank
