America's Forgotten Heroes

June 25, 1876 A battle took place on that fatal day, many brave men fell to their deaths. A song played that day, so they tell us, a song called Garry Owen, it was the General's favorite they say. Custer wanted to go out in glory in so doing, he took many brave men with him. Custer's battle at The Little Big Horn put him in the history books, but those poor souls that went down with him, history has forgotten them. They are just a few of America's forgotten heroes. wrote 8-11-08

A marvelous tribute to those who die with honor and pride, those that remain nameless but who are not nameless. Wonderful flow of words and great detail made this an excellent read. Michael
