Ambition
I see a little girl,
ambition in her eyes...
wanting but not wanting to be everything that is great.
too young for a job,
but old enough to work,
just to work on becoming great.
a burning desire,
ambition in her eyes...
doing well for her was never a suprise,
she began to become everything she dreamed of,
but she rested her head on the pillow and
she thought of reality,
is her greatness just a dream?
who is this little girl that I always seem to see?
when I dream of her, does she
dream of me?
Or am I just seeing and not seeing who I am growing up to be...
