Amazed Yesterday Was Thursday
vacation was going to be fifteen whole days.
I was keeping track of days at first
but then I stopped because I did not care.
I lost a couple of days.
I think on a subconscious level I thought
if I stopped keeping track, I would stop
them from running out.
Thought I was stopping time.
I was amazed that yesterday was
Thursday when I was sure it
Was Tuesday
Time keeps marching along
With or without us.
Even death does not slow down
or pause for her.
