Along Comes a Flood
There have always been floods, starting with the big one. When a family prepared for water, water they had never even seen. They were told they were crazy, but they still built their ark.
Today we have floods, yes floods from water. Floods of selfishness cover the earth, people wanting their own way. Wait is not in anyone's vocabulary any more, I must be first they all say.
Today we have floods, yes floods of words from emotions. Floods of words from many tongues, words that should not be said. Floods of words that hurt, words that cannot be taken back.
As in the days of old, a rainbow of promise said no more flood waters. Today we need a promise, no more hurt souls.
