Alone With Your Thoughts
"If you aren't in the moment, you are either looking forward to uncertainty, or back to pain and regret."
Jim Carrey
So much sorrow is found within the mind that wanders
Whilst it is the greatest joy
To be alone with your thoughts
It often leads to anguish
In between the elation of realisation
Are the torment of the ungrasped thoughts
The mood that lurks
A floating memory just waiting for it's time
To unleash some harm on a quiet unsuspecting moment
The burden you can't unload
Being alone with yourself
Is a dangerous game
Where you have to watch what you say
For fear of reprisal
