Almost

I am sitting where we sat so many times before. But now I sit here alone. We would share memories and talk about tomorrow. But now there is only today. Lost in thought, I turn to say something, but you are not there. I sometimes wake up talking to you, before I realize you are not beside me. We built a life together, but I am living my life alone. I knew we were over, that wasn't the issue. It was your decision to punish me, when you decided the fault was all mine. You couldn't accept responsibility, so you shifted ths blame as you always did. What followed almost brought me to my knees...almost.

Thank you so much Chance, the ultimate positive comment! The last line just happened, but it does end it well.
