Alligator
A tale emerges between bar nuts.
His brother eaten
in his own swimming pool.
“Alligators are stupid,” he says,
“they’re vacant
like a tiger with a lobotomy.
You don't see alligator heads on walls,
do you?
There's no way to mount
that dumb fricking grin.”
Neither of us laugh.
