All That Passion Suddenly Erased

Winds were among first to notice
Fragrant air blowing fresh breeze
Stemming from your pristine vicinity
Extolling prospects of your visit,

Announced by the birds in flight
Message circulated far and wide
Into the emerging scenic twilight
Pushing far away the opaque skies,

Cotton clouds then adorned charm
Scattered in ways of scenic art form
In orange hues peeking from blue
Amid aerial vistas painted for you,

Sprinkling rays on mosaic colors
Layers of fabric spun florid display
Anxious for you to take your step
Into this arena of majestic stage,

But all that passion suddenly erased
Prompting egress of darker motifs
When sun plunged below horizon,
Dismayed that you never showed up.

After such eager anticipation , the sudden plunge into disappointment is truly unbearable ! The wonderful images used are exhilarating ! You alone can craft such a poem of passion in a language so picturesque....and most poignant!

Your thoughts have wings. I feel as though I could caress your words and fly. (I would, if that were possible) Even though love, beauty and magical moments linger- a touch of sadness tugs deeply at the heart, while reading this. Very emotional indeed. Congratulations Vijay, on this win. ~ Brandy

It is so disappointing when we look forward to the experience of a great love and it's not reciprocated! Then a day full of sunshine turns to storm clouds! What a very insightful, awesome piece this is, my friend! Excellent write as usual! Best regards. Pandita

Beautifully expressed dark romantic poetry, Vijay. I LOVE the dark somber tone of this poem. Great lines throughout ... But all that passion suddenly erased. Prompting egress of darker motifs. When sun plunged below horizon, dismayed that you never showed up. Marvelous poem. Love and smiles.
