All That Melts In Your Mouth Being Outsmarted By a Five Year Old

She walked into the Ice cream Parlor with her mom, all three feet of her. Five years old, excited and happy with a gleam in her eyes, looking at all the ice cream choices, she was mesmerized. Her mother told her," Honey you pick your favorite one." She said, "Mommy I want that one, and that one, and that one!" Mommy, softly replied, "Honey you can only have one." "But I want that one, and that one, and that one!" Her mom said again, "Darling you can only have one." She replied again holding up her one little finger to make a point, she then pointed at the different flavors individually. Mommy you said I could only have one. So I want one of vanilla, one of strawberry, and one of chocolate. Her mother realizing the confusion in her five year old, gave in and wondered if she was outsmarted by her five year old. I came to congratulate you and then saw that you had not followed a rule on this one, so it didn't make the cut. I can't think what the rule was unless she asked for rhyme or something I'm glad that she still liked it very much!

Thank you Cheri I love your writes my dear. You have an entourage of cleverly written beauties. You should put them in a book and sell the book during Halloween. I think the teenagers would enjoy reading your stories. Thank you for your kind words and your much appreciated comments.

How very cute, Michael! Children that age come out with things that are worth recording for future reference! Thing is, their reasoning does make sense, if you look at it from their perspective. // paul

A very pretty story, dear Michael! When children are three years old they have developed 95% of their mental capabilities but not their logic! Now, I have a similar story to relate to you my friend. When my daughter was two-and-a-half years old she told me, in French: " Papa, I have two boyfriends! I have Allan and I have Patrick!" When I teasingly told her that the good girls have only one boyfriend, she defended herself by saying:" but, papa I have one Allen and one Patrick!"Still laughing!
