All Roads Lead To a Mall

No matter which road or street I drive down, I always seem to end up at the mall, And that is not all, My wallet seems to take the same drive to the mall, And I find cash in the car where I swear there was none. Is there no way for this destination to forestall? So my financial situation can recover from a fall, And I can find a road that was there before the mall. Maybe it is time to go back to driving a manual, One like Dad had that used to take us on a country crawl, To find people home instead of at the mall. Another thing I have noticed is that even when driving in another city, I don't even get the luxury Of driving to a mall that does not look exactly, Like the one I thought I had left for someone else to have the opportunity, Of trying to bypass for the country.

Hello David, Thanks for your recent comment on my last posted poem!! I really like your word-picture depiction here of the modern mall syndrome that seems to pervade our modern culture. Very interesting take on this one indeed!! Cheers and Best Wishes, Gary

Thanks Gary. There are signs that market type shopping is having a slight comeback, so we can but hope. Regards David
