“I'm okay, you're okay is a mask in the land of pretend.”
“I'm okay, you're okay is a mask in the land of pretend.”
People hide their feelings behind a smile;
afraid to show how they're truly feeling.
Many are scared and have been for a while;
for global warming has left them reeling.
Calling climate change a hoax won't stop it;
glaciers will melt, and the oceans will rise.
We're more frightened than we care to admit,
but today's askew world believes in lies.
No one wants to hear what they fear is true,
it's easier to pretend all is great.
But Nature doesn't care what you say or do,
and like it or not, She'll decide your fate.
Shed your mask from the land of let's pretend,
and face reality, or meet your end.
