All I Ask
A little child came up to me
And asked if I could find,
Her ma and pa who had gone away,
And left this girl behind.
She said please mister help me,
I need them to come back,
I want someone to hold me
To soothe my aching heart.
As I look down at that poor child,
Whom not of many years
And in her Face so plain to see,
Her eyes so full of tears.
So if you left this child behind,
She needs you to come back.
She only wants to have your love
Not be a rod upon your back.
I couldn't help that little girl,
But I hope one day she will find,
Her ma and pa who went away
And left this child behind!
