All Good Things Come To An End

Our hearts are strangers .... Our souls are detached .... I can feel you slipping through my hands like grains of sand.. When I hear your voice ... I feel nothing , it's like echoes in an empty space, a hollow street... That feeling of leaving an old dress for the new ... Maybe love is like that ... Just a cloth ... A cloth that excites you when it's new ... With time it fades ... It grows old and ugly ... Now you own it but can't wear it ... A candle that burns out in the dark to just bring in more darkness... Like a battery in a cellular that runs low and dies .... Or maybe love is like a leaf ... A leaf ... Green and waxy in spring ... But grows brittle and brown in summer ... Dry and dead ... A guess time has a way of separating hearts ... We are oblivious of the change in our hearts hoping we will last a minute more ... But we already sank like the titanic ... Our love died a natural death like a flower in left the sweet, tender sun rays .... Maybe all good things must come to an end ... An unending end that will leave one choked with specks of dust on their deathbed... Maybe love is a waste of time because it leaves without warning... Like a game of chess ... Checkmate to your heart ... Like a game of soccer ... Just a whistle away.... Maybe love never wanted to stay, I guess love never meant to stay, Every beat of the ticking watch, i can feel it straying away every second of the day like a starved dog of bones... I guess they are right when they say a shared love is dead before it even makes love... Maybe love is a broken record, with time it loses its beat, it's sound becomes rusty... This is not even a poem, it's just love saying goodbye...
