"I'm bored," said Alice to nobody in particular. Lying in her bedroom, gazing wistfully at the stars, she often wondered what life might be like on another planet. School was boring, she didn't have any friends to speak of, and it had been nearly four years since her trip to Wonderland. "Not even a teenager yet and already my life is rather sucky," she mused to herself. Before long she drifted off to sleep and began to dream... "Oh Alice," squeaked Mr. Hightopp (aka as the Hatter), "I have a riddle for you." "Yes, please tell me dear sir," replied Alice. "Alrighty then. What does a raven have in common with a wormhole?" "Well I, I don't know," said Alice. "Just what does a raven have in common with a wormhole?" "Heck if I know. But come on, let's have some fun, shall we?" said the Hatter, gleefully. With that he took her by the hand and they began to fly toward the heavens, yet neither of them had wings! Up, up, up, higher and higher until earth was only a tiny blue and white haze behind them. They flew past Mars. Then past Jupiter and Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. At the outer rim of the Milky Way galaxy the Hatter paused and asked, "Alice my dear, do you understand what lies beyond this point?" "Dear sir, how could I ever hope to know such a thing," she replied. Suddenly, the cosmos began to spin and they felt a pull, a tug of exceptional force, drawing them toward... something. It was an anomaly of sorts, big, black and ominous. Spinning, spinning; in a flash they were sucked inside the phenomenon, stars blinking, time nearly standing still. The Hatter tried to speak but his mouth moved in slow motion and the words made no sound. Alice had never been so frightened in all her life, not even during her trips to Wonderland. Just as she was contemplating it all the spinning stopped and they found themselves lying on the ground. Above them the sky was green and below the grass was sky blue. Alice spoke first, "Oh Mr. Hatter, what is this place, and just what are we to expect from this unusual journey?" "Goodness, I'm not sure at all, not sure at all little one," replied the Hatter. Just then, a lavender-colored raven flew overhead and cawed out, "Haha, you silly ones. Do you really not know where you are? Why, this is Earth II, the exact opposite of your planet. Soon you'll find yourselves breathing the water and swimming in the air. You'll bite the mosquitoes and sting the bees, all in good fun, of course. There will be cake and ice cream for dinner and vegetables for dessert. And Alice, dear Alice, no one here ever gets bored. Caw Caw." Alice looked at the Hatter and he stared back, both bewildered as they could possibly be. Neither knew what to make of it, but it sure seemed exciting! Just as they were getting ready to explore, a voice from across the cosmos called out, "Alice, Alice, wake up. Time for school." Alice woke up, smiling, for she now understood she would never, ever be bored again. All she had to do was dream

S w e e t. All you have to do is dream. Yes, because anything is possible. :) I love the other side of reality. Drifting through candy clouds. (Licking my lips). Thanks for the smile this evening, Tommy. :)

I really wanted the cawing raven to caw more about Earth ll. Life can be boring at Alice's age, it's nice in dreamland where the unexpected things thrills and lights up all senses. Just play keep away from those funny mushrooms. Great imagination, I wanted more!

Oh I'd love to really flesh this out, but most here don't like long poems. Thx so much
