Age Doesn’t Matter When You’re In Love
The dance changes as the music fades
slippers shuffling on worn floors
lust lurking in the shadows
lingering moments.
Their hands still find each other
as they walk, connecting them
to all that follows, empowering them
to move into an aging future.
He still gazes at her beauty,
counts himself a lucky man.
She smiles, knowing
he is looking at her still.
They slyly sneak upstairs
engage in flannel foreplay
snuggle warmly against
one another – remembering.
The dance continues.
