Afternoon Delight
A glass of lemonade
on a hot day
Delights the palate
and keeps one cool
in the summer heat
The day is the hottest of the year
So I will not travel
Rather relax with the newspaper
and the television
Also get in somewriitng
Poetry can bring relief on a bad day
and touch the innermost part
of one's soul
Let us remain open
to the poet's art
For he or she
can influence the heart
