we ...
are immortal
you and i have made it so
our passions are spent
flesh and essences, swimming moonlight
drifting gently on a soft cloud of Giza percale
exhaling the cool breath of midnight
do you feel it ...
the euphoric release from time's constraints?
as if the love just made
was the key to a portal, unfettered
the loosing of cares and limits
concern and condition, left ashore
no longer our realm
we are spin-drift and whimsy
we exist in a dream our own making
an ephemeral ethos
a transcendental tide of
torrid release and dopamine delirium
we know it well, you and i
and yet each time we meet here
weary from our wilding
we are as the shimmering dew of twilight -
new ... tender ...
deliquesced from the divine
oh, it never lasts ...
the encumbrances of being and actuality
always wake with morn
but for now ...
for these precious, dreamy, expended moments ...
we are as mists of the gloaming -
gossamer tapestries of timelessness
a single creation of
emotion and merge, unending ...
we are ...
immortal.
