Notes About The Poem

At the time of Jesus's birth, tyranny prevailed, and the world was dark and inhopsitable. It seems a parellel of our world today.  Christians hold fast to the belief that when he comes again there will be a great cleansing and healing,is that time near?

 

Advent Pray

Lord,
                                      We wait
                                     Repentant
                                  With pious hope,
                            Through our darkest days
                              We hold fast our sight,
                            Blinded not by corruption
                               Of a decayed society
                           Festering in malignant evil,
                    Hopeful our redeemer waits in the wings
