Adulthood - For Adult Contest
Adulthood
He sees the world, all passions fascinate
His palm is shown where some would hesitate
No fool, not he, or should he ever be
He does not live in lands of fantasy
His wealth is in his dream for all mankind
The starving will be fed, bellies and mind
All through his life he’ll hold no-one to blame
For similar as we are, none are the same
Like favoured flowers nurtured by his hand
The ugliness of man, he’ll understand
Through his words and more by attitude
He will forgive the craven and the rude
For life to him not be, some candy floss
He throws all rubbish out, and the dross
Listens to the child, the muses, those insane
Treats equally for need, thought, and pain
At times his heart besieged by doubtful will
His strength returns, with it, hope there still
With actions easy, he may stimulate
A palm be shown where some would hesitate
