Addressing My Thanks

~ A Thought for Thanksgiving ~ I'm thankful for the air I breathe I'm thankful for good luck I'm thankful for the food I eat I'm thankful for a few bucks... Yet something's missing in these thanks To whom my gratitude is sent Addressing my thanks specifically To my Creator, for Whom they're meant

We owe thanks most to the air we breathe. Once we lose the air, we will be like deflated balloons, fit to be 'discarded'. Glad you are thankful for the primary boons of life. Well thought out, Gershon !

Nice prelude to the Thanksgiving Season Gershon, thanks for sharing. I liked it, especially the last line. Your Texas friend, Bill

I lived in Galveston at 5 and Houston for my Senior year of High School and again for 3 years while in the Air Force. I also lived in Youngstown, Ohio for one year. While in Ohio, all the kids at school called me "Tex" and laughted at my accent (as I did theirs).

Alright, 'Tex!' Thanks for the encouragement... I actually have a slight Texas connection myself. My mother was born in Galveston and grew up in Houston... She came to Chicago to marry my Dad, and never went back. But she still had a bit of a Texas accent. ~ Southern Hospitality, gw
