Actually Praying For a Heat Wave

when you left, my heart became cold there are parasites waiting for a chance to enter there are conditions developing blueprints to redirect my life's motion i guess i chomp down hard on the ice cubes because i think of them as therapy made of glass the blood tickling my gums acts as a self made scarlet letter of some sort as you can see, i am a period at the beginning of a simple sentence that makes no sense when i picture even a hint of you in memory, i just become all tense there are gentle footprints on my heart that whisper goodbye with each beat i think i will just take the remainder of my being in the foggy basement and quietly concede defeat
