Letter To My Mama
My dearest Mama who is now in heaven,
God be praised and thanked for giving you to me; and yes, to our family.
Your partnership with Daddy in rearing and nurturing us, your dear children, is a treasure I will surely cherish. Thus, with this letter of gratitude is a poetic summary of what I learned from you that I want to instill in children while serving the Lord in ministering to the orphanage, by His grace and for His glory. Indeed, your legacy prevails as our children put into practice these functional principles we got from you. Thank you so much.
Hear ye these ABCs, dear children -
one for the growing up and one for the grown-up…
For the growing-up child, learn from my MAMA's lessons:
Accept parents’ instruction* and advice.
Bathe yourself well along hygiene’s best.
Continue doing right, ready to be corrected.
Delight to eat all nutritious veggie dishes.
Ever be thankful for blessings everyday.
Fix things after messing with them freely.
Give time for home works with gladness.
Handle gadgets wisely, along harm and hurts.
Imitate Bible characters of good influence.
Joke with your siblings amidst pleasant joy.
Keep on practicing generosity and kindness.
Let GOD lead you through your guardians’ love.
For the grown-up child, be inspired by my MAMA's assertions:
Arise always along achievement ardor
Blossom beyond besetting blight
Carve creations well midst circumspection
Dream with delight; dare to be determined
Excel toward effective empowering exploits*
Fuel yourself with freedom for faith fortitude flight
Grab growth-girded gearings toward going glow
Have hope-hoisted helpfulness heart and hands
Inquire to be illumined along instruction’s influence---
Jubilantly pursue against junking jabs with justice
Keep on sharing kindness of goodness’ kindling
Live, loving the LORD Who leads toward learning leaps!
*Proverbs 1:8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother.
**Daniel 11:32 … The people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
