A Year Ago Today
It’s been a year since Sharon* died.
Though life’s continued on,
It’s not the same and never will be
Now that she is gone.
Yet all who knew her hold her close
With memories we’ve made,
So in our hearts, our thoughts of her
Burn bright and will not fade.
We’re never sure when we’ll succumb
To life’s strange ebb and flow,
But oh, we lost a special soul
Today, one year ago.
