A Worrisome Feeling
A feeling
That follows you
Through your
Whole day
A small feeling
Of dread
A bit of
Anxiety
A smidgen of
Sadness
It warns you
Of what is
To come,
Though you
Already know it
Is going to
Commence
You feel the
Weight of
Your body
As you trudge
Through your
Daily routine
You try not
To think about
The future,
But that
Feeling just
Won’t go
Away
You tell it
To stop, to
End your
Misery, but
It does not
Leave
The feeling
Grows over
Time, making
You feel all
Of its suspense
You start to
Break a little
At the seams,
But you hold
It together
Because the
Worst has not
Come yet
You finally
Arrive at the
Foreseen event
And the feeling
Is kicking into
Overdrive
You nervously
Get to where
You need to
Be, but your
Hand starts
To shake
You grab it
And hold it
To make it
Stop, so you
Don’t look weak
“You are strong”
You saqy, even
If the feeling
Makes you doubt it
You walk
Confidently
Towards the
One you are
To meet
Afterwards,
You look
Like you were
Beaten raw
You are sad,
But will not
Let it out
You were rejected
And kicked out
Of the room,
And now the
Feeling plagues
Your mind again
It has grown
Into a monster
That won’t let
Go, but you
Are snapped out
Of it as
Soon as you
Are called in
For your interview
